Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit WUNC Radio provides quality news, information and entertainment programming to a broad listening audience that includes North Carolina, the United States and the world. WUNC serves North Carolinians from Greensboro to the Outer Banks through a network of ten stations. Position Summary This position will provide technical support and/or programming to staff which may include installing and configuring computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners, diagnosing, and solving hardware/software issues and analyzing any underlying issues as necessary. This position will also carry out project management of IT systems upgrades, migrations and organization. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology, computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Journey level required an additional one year of experience Advanced level required an additional two years of experience. Management Preferences Knowledge of Windows OS installation with troubleshooting experience Knowledge of networking, TCP/IP setups for computers, printers Knowledge of audio studio equipment Ability to research issues and projects Experience in standard office software, PC and Mac OS or hardware Special Physical/Mental Requirements Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50lbs with or without accommodation, and negotiate ladders.
