Role:
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Lead IT Field Technician to join our team and support our customer sites across the United States. This candidate will be responsible for overseeing field operations, managing a team of IT Field Technicians, and ensuring the highest standard of technical service delivery. You will be leading frequent team travels to manage onsite client implementations and technical work, including site surveys, new customer onboarding, hardware swaps, and installation of networking equipment. You'll be the face of our company at customer locations, engaging with the site's management while managing your team and ensuring they perform smooth deployments and provide high-quality service.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Manage travel teams at onsite customer locations across the U.S. to primarily perform onsite IT project work in conducting site surveys and documenting network, internet and Wi-Fi, user devices and infrastructure equipment
  • Manage onboarding teams for customer Go Live implementation and enforce teams meet our IT standards, procedures, SOPs, and best practices and good resolution skills
  • Teams will swap, replace, or upgrade PCs, laptops, and peripheral equipment and install, replace, or connect network switches, cabling, and related infrastructure
  • Document work performed, including photos, notes, and inventory
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in any IT environment. Preferably familiar working at a Managed Service Provider (MSP) - but not a requirement. Experience in support, field service, or deployment experience.
  • Leading & managing teams, providing excellent customer service and strong communication skills
  • Experience installing PC hardware, peripherals, and network devices a plus
  • Ability to read and follow diagrams, floor plans, and deployment documentation
  • Comfort working independently in the field and submitting daily reports to lead
  • Valid driver's license and ability for travel throughout the United States
  • Specifically, must be able to do air travel and have the ability to arrange vehicle rentals
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Preferred Skills:
  • Basic understanding of what role firewalls, access points, and switches play in IT
  • Detail-oriented and reliable with a customer-first mindset
  • Plus - not required - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+
