Audit Network Technician Pay Range:
$30-$35 per hour

Columbus, OH (immediate need) Travel Required | Lodging Provided | Long‑Term Opportunity We are seeking a highly detail‑oriented Audit Network Technician to support network validation, documentation accuracy, and infrastructure readiness across large‑scale technical environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring network integrity, accurate circuit mapping, and operational compliance before and after site turn‑ups. Key Responsibilities Perform Engineering Design Package (EDP) reading and interpretation Support network audit activities, including infrastructure verification and validation Create and maintain accurate circuit maps and network diagrams Assist in troubleshooting across Layer 1-3 to identify connectivity or configuration issues Validate inventory, connectivity, and documentation accuracy across network assets Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve discrepancies Document findings and produce clear audit reports and recommendations Required Skills & Experience Strong understanding of EDP documentation and technical design packages Knowledge of telecom and network infrastructure Experience with circuit tracing and topology visualization Hands‑on troubleshooting across Layer 1-3 networking Ability to interpret engineering diagrams, schematics, and layouts High attention to detail and documentation accuracy Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in telecom, ISP, or enterprise network environments Familiarity with fiber and copper infrastructure Experience with network auditing tools or GIS systems Certifications such as Network+ or CCNA (nice to have) OSHA‑10 (nice to have) What Success Looks Like Accurate, complete, and timely network audit deliverables Clear, up‑to‑date circuit maps and documentation Efficient identification and resolution of network discrepancies Strong collaboration with internal technical teams Travel & Work Environment Immediate need in Columbus, Ohio for a 5-6 month project (subject to change) Lodging provided (Airbnb or extended‑stay hotels) Travel coordinated through internal travel department Option to fly home once per month
Schedule Standard:
Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Rotating on‑call schedule During site turn‑ups: 10‑hour days, 6 days per week Why This Role Matters Audit Network Technicians help reduce operational risk by ensuring all infrastructure layers meet SLA requirements before data centers go live. After launch, they serve as a critical line of defense to maintain uptime, accuracy, and compliance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of New Albany, OH.
