Position Overview We are seeking an Entry-Level Field Network Technician to join our service team supporting the Portland, OR area. This is a field-based role with a possible territory near you, as we service Portland and surrounding communities. Required Skills & Knowledge Knowledge of network connectivity, network security, and Wi-Fi environments Working understanding of Windows environments and common operating systems Ability to work with a wide range of customers and vendors (technical and non-technical) Strong communication skills with the ability to gather and clarify technical information Proactive, solutions-oriented problem solver Ability to travel locally to client sites Comfortable communicating via phone, email, and written documentation Qualifications Previous network or field experience preferred but not required Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, ports, SMTP, FTP, SMB, etc.) Experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft applications Strong customer-facing communication skills Valid driver's license with clean driving record (must be 21 or older) Bonus Skills Familiarity with Mac OS environments CompTIA Network+ certification Experience working alongside IT professionals What We Offer Clear path for advancement and career growth Supportive, team-oriented environment Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) with company match PTO, Vacation, and Sick Leave FSA Program Company car for work and personal use Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion Pacific Office Automation is proud to be an equal employment opportunity employer.
