About the role As an IT help desk technician, you will be responsible for supporting Allsup employees and contractors. IT technicians diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software components to ensure the smooth running of computer systems. A successful candidate will have a strong background in both physical hardware and software support. What you'll do Phone Support Completing tickets assigned via the ticketing system Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications Performing troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve incidents Maintaining records of repairs and fixes in our knowledge base and keeping documentation up to date Performing maintenance and patching on a rotating schedule Being on-call (intermittent, after hours) Physical desk moves Qualifications Associate's degree in IT Proven experience as an IT technician or relevant education Excellent communication skills Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Knowledge of VIDI, Windows 10, Windows 11, Active Directory, and Exchange Ability to lift up to 50lbs and set up a desk with hardware Hybrid Schedule in Belleville, IL office Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(K) Matching Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance Life Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Flexible Spending and Health Savings Account Tuition Reimbursement Pet Insurance Employee Assistance Program
