Job Description
Overview Join SyberStone as an IT Systems Technician II and serve as an experienced technical resource responsible for supporting and maintaining client technology environments. This role builds upon the foundation of the IT Systems Technician I position and requires a deeper understanding of systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies. The IT Systems Technician II is expected to independently resolve the majority of support requests, assist with infrastructure projects, mentor junior technicians, and serve as an escalation point for more complex technical issues. This position provides exposure to a broad range of technologies across multiple client environments while supporting SyberStone's commitment to delivering exceptional managed IT services. Responsibilities Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, Microsoft 365, and business applications. Troubleshoot and resolve escalated workstation, server, networking, and cloud-related issues. Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID. Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server environments, and user access controls. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including switches, wireless access points, VPNs, firewalls, VLANs, and routing. Support security solutions including endpoint protection, email security, DNS filtering, MFA, and vulnerability remediation. Monitor and maintain backup systems, disaster recovery solutions, and business continuity services. Perform server deployments, workstation deployments, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades. Assist with project implementation including network upgrades, cloud migrations, wireless deployments, and cybersecurity initiatives. Utilize RMM, PSA, monitoring, and documentation platforms to proactively manage client environments. Serve as an escalation resource for IT Systems Technician I staff. Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles. Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and emergency support situations as required. Maintain a strong focus on customer service, communication, and professional representation of SyberStone. Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of IT support experience, preferably within an MSP environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and cloud services. Experience supporting Windows Server environments and Active Directory. Working knowledge of virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware. Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless networking. Experience with firewall administration including Fortinet, Ubiquiti, SonicWall, or similar platforms. Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and managed security solutions. Experience utilizing RMM, PSA, backup, and documentation platforms. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
