As a Technical Operations Engineer, you will play a hands-on role supporting enterprise clients, critical infrastructure, and government-level operations. You will work to maintain, support, and improve the operational health of our client's technical environments. Working closely with Commercial, Engineering and Operations departments and external partners, you will support live systems, investigate incidents, and ensure hardware and platforms perform reliably. Key Responsibilities Operational Support and Monitoring Provide hands-on operational support for live systems, devices, and platforms, ensuring availability, performance, and stability. Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests, carrying out investigation and resolution in line with agreed procedures. Participate in NOC-style operational activities when required, including incident coordination and escalation. Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution Diagnose and resolve issues across networking, hardware devices, and application environments. Use monitoring platforms, logs, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and prevent recurrence. Document incidents clearly and accurately, contributing to operational knowledge and continuous improvement. Hardware and Platform Operations Support the lifecycle of hardware and technical equipment, including configuration, validation, deployment, and fault investigation. Carry out hands-on testing and verification of devices and environments prior to deployment or change. Work with suppliers and partners to support repairs, replacements, and technical queries as required. Process, Documentation, and Improvement Follow operational processes while identifying opportunities to improve clarity, and efficiency. Maintain accurate documentation for systems, procedures, and operational changes. Contribute to service reviews and post-incident analysis with practical, evidence-based input. Essential Skills and Experience Strong hands-on experience supporting technical operations in a production or live-service environment. Good understanding of IT service delivery and networking fundamentals. Experience using monitoring, observability, or alerting tools to support system health and performance. Ability to troubleshoot methodically and remain calm during incidents or service-impacting events communicating effectively to colleagues and customers. Clear written and verbal communication skills suitable for internal teams and external partners. Desirable Skills Familiarity with NOC environments or operational monitoring teams. Exposure to embedded devices, hardware platforms, or field-deployed technology. Experience supporting systems across multiple locations or customer environments. Exposure to government, military or intelligence clients.
