  • Development Services The City of Portland is currently recruiting for the position of Permit Technician.
The Permit Technician performs a variety of responsible technical and specialized administrative duties in support of Building Department operations. This position is responsible for processing permits, maintaining records and legal documentation, and managing related correspondence, plans, and data. The Permit Technician also provides professional, efficient, and customer-focused assistance to residents, contractors, and the general public while ensuring compliance with department procedures and regulations. This position is subject to the City of Portland's Background Investigation and Drug Testing Policy. New hires are required to provide proof of identity and legal authority to work in the United States per Federal law.
