Part-Time Position Summary We are seeking a hands-on PC and Hardware Technician to support and maintain the company's computer hardware, mobile devices, and technology associated products. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and deploying computer equipment, proprietary hardware while providing technical support to office staff, field technicians, and construction teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in both office and field environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers, and peripheral devices. Diagnose and repair hardware issues including motherboards, memory, storage drives, power supplies, monitors, and networking equipment. Deploy new computer systems, software, and hardware upgrades. Manage inventory of IT equipment, spare parts, and technology assets. Configure and support mobile devices used by field construction and irrigation personnel. Assist users with technical issues related to hardware, operating systems, and basic software applications. Perform system imaging, operating system installations, and workstation setups. Coordinate equipment replacements and warranty repairs with vendors. Assist with network connectivity troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi, switches, and cabling. Maintain accurate records of hardware assets, repairs, and support tickets. Support Microsoft 365 applications and user account setup. Assist with cybersecurity best practices, software updates, and endpoint protection. Travel occasionally to company facilities, construction sites, and customer locations to provide technical support. Participate in after-hours support as needed for critical business operations. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical training, certification, or coursework in Information Technology preferred. 1-3 years of experience supporting computer hardware, mobile devices, or end users. Strong understanding of PC components, troubleshooting, and repair. Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. Basic understanding of networking concepts, including Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity. Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar technical certifications. Experience supporting field-based employees and mobile devices. Familiarity with cloud-based systems and endpoint management tools. Experience with inventory management and asset tracking systems. Knowledge of security cameras, access control systems, and IoT devices is a plus. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds. Ability to work under desks, in equipment closets, and at construction or field locations. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands for extended periods. Ability to safely transport and install computer equipment.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
