Job Description

Junior Network Operations Center Technician Student Worker (Federal Work Study Eligible Regent University students Only) 50000434 Information Technology Student & Temporary Part time Closing on: Nov 29 2026 Add to favorites View favorites Essential functions: Monitor network performance and availability using various monitoring tools Monitor Help Desk tickets related to networking systems and services Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system for future reference Assist in the identification and resolution of network incidents and issues Collaborate with senior technicians to escalate complex issues Participate in routine maintenance and system updates as required Maintain accurate records of network configurations and changes
Additional Responsibilities:
Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems Familiarity with VMware, and backup operations Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
Understanding of network monitoring and backup tools and methodologies Basic knowledge of network configuration and management Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment Willingness to assist with projects outside of normal business hours Ability to lift 50 lbs.
