Job Summary:
As the Sr. Data Product Owner for Customer Sites data within Cat Digital, you will be a subject matter expert, lead initiatives that drive the strategy, development, and support of the Customer Site data products. You will be responsible for meeting with business partners to understand their needs, writing business requirements for new features or changes needed, generating and maintaining consumer documentation, and ensuring proper data governance and use of the data. This role will partner closely with other Product Owners, Data Specialists, technical teams, business partners, and consumers to advance product capabilities, address issues, and support broader organizational adoption.
What You Will Do:
Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for Customer Sites data within Customer Master, including writing detailed business requirements for needed changes and improvements Perform data analysis as needed to research and resolve data related issues or fulfill business partner requests Engage in cross-functional collaboration with technical teams, business partners, and consumers. Partner with development teams to track delivery, complete validation, and ensure each release delivers maximum value Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals, consumer needs, and platform requirements. Contribute to change management efforts including training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement. Develop go to market plans for new features or changes. Provide guidance and support for product adoption and integrations, answer consumer questions, and serve as a subject matter expert for Customer Site data.
What You Will Have:
Decision Making and Critical Thinking:
Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications:
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Data Analysis:
Knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools required to accurately review and understand the data; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
Business Analysis:
Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to turn those into actionable business requirements. User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.
Considerations For Top Candidates:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred Extensive experience in product management Ability to track and prioritize initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business priorities. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences (engineering, business partners, and leadership) Proven ability to listen and understand business needs and translate those to actionable requirements Experience working in Agile development while simultaneously managing multiple priorities Hands-on experience with Snowflake Proven ability to work cross-functionally with UX/UI, engineering, and business partners Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Azure DevOps Product Owner certification (CSPO from Scrum Alliance, SAFe PO/PM) or knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Additional Information:
This position will be based out of either our Chicago, IL or Peoria, IL offices. Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $183,140.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
