Summary of Position:

The Agile Product Owner is responsible for prioritizing and maintaining the Product Backlog, including the definition of user stories and acceptance criteria. In this position, you will be responsible for the scrum framework, who is responsible for the success of product deliverables and maximizing the value of that product.

Essential Functions:

Prioritize and maintain the Product Backlog, including the definition of user stories and acceptance criteria Must demonstrate a strong understanding of agile methodologies, including hands-on experience writing epics and translating them into well-defined user stories. Formal training or certification in agile frameworks such as SAFe is preferred. Serve as the "voice of the customer" for the delivery teams, representing/reinforcing the customer's and business s perspective throughout the product realization cycle Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, business analysts, developers, system architects, quality engineers, and others to develop and execute against SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Product Increment (PI) objectives Continuously and transparently communicate with internal stakeholders the prioritization of the Product Backlog and the status of development efforts via System Demos, team

This position is based in a professional office setting and regularly utilizes workplace technology, including computers, smartphones, multifunction printers, cloud-based filing systems, and collaboration tools.

Physical Demands:

This role requires physical capabilities that support the successful execution of key responsibilities. The employee regularly engages in verbal and written communication with colleagues and clients to address project-related inquiries and must be able to convey accurate information clearly and efficiently. The position involves remaining seated at a workstation for approximately 75% of the time, with occasional movement throughout the office to access equipment, supplies, and shared resources. Daily tasks include consistent use of computers and standard office technology such as keyboards, printers, and multifunction devices. The role also involves transporting equipment boxes weighing up to 25 pounds within the building and to other offsite locations as needed for project support.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor s Degree 3-5 years of experience

Qualifications:

3-5 years in product/project management or related role, 1+ year in an Agile development environment. Experience as an Agile Product Owner strongly preferred Familiarity with common lean/agile development practices and service-oriented environments Outstanding technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally Proven ability to manage conflicting product priorities A passion for data, with very strong quantitative skills Highly organized and adept at prioritization
