This role serves as a servant‑leader, removing impediments, coaching team members in Agile principles, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Facilitate Scrum Events:
Plan and run daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.Remove Impediments:
Identify, track, and resolve blockers that hinder team progress, coordinating with stakeholders and other teams as needed.Coach & Mentor:
Educate the development team, Product Owner, and organization on Agile best practices, fostering self‑organization and accountability.Maintain Scrum Artifacts:
Ensure the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment are transparent, visible, and up‑to‑date.Metrics & Reporting:
Track velocity, burn‑down/burn‑up charts, and other performance indicators; present insights to stakeholders.Continuous Improvement:
Lead retrospectives to capture lessons learned and drive process enhancements.Collaboration:
Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize backlog items and clarify acceptance criteria.Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as a liaison between the development team and external stakeholders, ensuring clear expectations and progress updates.Agile Governance:
Ensure compliance with organizational Agile policies and standards. Provides expertise to drive adoption of and consistency in agile mindset, values, principles, and practices for the team and by extension the organization. Coaches teams to increase agile maturity to achieve organizational agility. Supports agile teams by applying an end-user focus within an organization. Responsible for driving cultural change when necessary, teaching, improving agile methodologies, embracing continuous improvement, and navigating complex environmentsBasic Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 3 years as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software development environment.Certification:
SAFe Scrum Master Certified, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)Methodologies:
Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworksTools:
Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project‑management toolsDesired Skills Soft Skills:
Excellent facilitation, communication, conflict‑resolution, and coaching abilities Problem‑Solving:
