Job Description

Job Summary The Scrum Master / Project Manager will support Agile product development teams within the Health Insurance vertical, ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery while fostering continuous improvement. The role acts as a key bridge between Product Owners and Development teams, promoting Agile values, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring transparency across all stages of delivery. This position is critical in helping teams apply Agile principles effectively and enhance their delivery performance. Key Responsibilities Serve as a servant leader for one or more Agile, self-organizing product development teams. Support the Product Owner with backlog management, story definition, refinement, prioritization, and sprint readiness. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Remove impediments and manage dependencies that impact delivery, escalating when necessary. Coach teams on Agile and Scrum practices to drive continuous improvement. Apply data-driven, empirical methods to improve processes and increase delivery predictability. Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to reduce time-to-market and enhance software quality. Support organization-level Agile initiatives, including cross-team planning, team health assessments, and scaling activities. Communicate risks, delays, scope changes, and delivery impacts clearly and in a timely manner. Promote Agile culture through Communities of Practice, knowledge-sharing, and workshops. Track and communicate team metrics, progress, and delivery insights to stakeholders. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent practical experience is acceptable. 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software product development teams. Strong background in facilitating, coaching, and mentoring Agile teams in complex environments. Deep understanding of Scrum and other Agile frameworks, with the ability to apply them appropriately. Proven ability to guide teams in adopting Agile best practices for continuous improvement. Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across diverse locations and cultures. Experience working in complex, international, or distributed team structures. Ability to maintain team focus, alignment, and accountability toward sprint goals. Experience resolving blockers and ensuring smooth delivery execution. Familiarity with tools such as Jira Software is an advantage. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in globally distributed or multicultural team environments. Knowledge of Agile scaling practices or frameworks. Certifications Scrum Master or Agile certifications preferred (e.g., CSM, SAFe). Oracle Cerner certification program (advantageous) .
