The Scrum Master will facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes within our organization, ensuring our cross-functional teams can work collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality solutions. This role will play a critical part in supporting Agile delivery across multiple initiatives. The Scrum Master will report into the Project Management Office (PMO) and will work closely with our Project Management, Analytics, and Data Governance teams to ensure that the work progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the desired level of quality. A strong understanding of Agile principles, effective facilitation, servant leadership, and the ability to remove impediments while fostering an environment of continuous improvement is required in this role.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews, and other Agile ceremonies. Guide teams on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to drive performance. Support cross-functional teams with backlog management, refinement, and prioritization. Identify and troubleshoot obstacles that are hindering the team's progress. Promote Agile best practices and help develop a culture of continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions. Monitor team performance and provide reporting to the PMO on progress, risks, and dependencies. Collaborate with Analytics and Data Governance teams to ensure sprint work aligns with data strategy and governance standards. Track KPIs and help teams deliver high-quality products/solutions on time. Ensure that the teams follow the Scrum framework and adheres to Agile principles. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, business or related field; or equivalent work experience. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment. Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices. Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Experience working with cross-functional teams including Analytics and Data Governance. Proficient in Jira, Power BI and familiar with Microsoft Project/Microsoft Planner. Experience leading cross-functional teams with a proven ability to remove roadblocks and foster team collaboration.
