Scrum Master Job SummaryThe Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating Agile practices and ensuring the successful delivery of technology and business initiatives across cross-functional teams. This role serves as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator, guiding teams in Scrum principles, removing impediments, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The Scrum Master partners with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support Banner Life's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including:o Daily Stand-upso Sprint Planningo Sprint Reviewso Sprint Retrospectiveso Backlog Refinement Sessions
  • Coach teams on Scrum, Agile values, and best practices.
  • Identify and remove impediments affecting team productivity and delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain and prioritize product backlogs.
  • Monitor sprint progress, velocity, and delivery metrics.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support release planning and roadmap alignment.
  • Manage dependencies and risks across multiple teams.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Ensure Agile governance standards and reporting requirements are met.
  • Utilize Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence to track work and team performance.
  • Drive adoption of Agile methodologies across the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of Scrum Master experience supporting Agile teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and Agile frameworks.
  • Experience working in Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, or related industries preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
