This hybrid role blends Agile execution with PMO oversight , ensuring alignment between portfolio strategy, program delivery, and team-level outcomes. Responsibilities Lead Agile delivery and adoption while serving as Scrum Master for key teams in scaled environments Facilitate ceremonies, cross-team coordination, and alignment with program and portfolio objectives Establish and maintain PMO governance frameworks, standards, and delivery processes Manage program-level planning, risks, dependencies, and roadmaps Ensure compliance with federal governance, documentation, and reporting requirements Define, track, and present Agile and program metrics to support data-driven decisions Communicate status, risks, and performance insights to executive stakeholders and governance board. Mentor teams, Scrum Masters, and PMs while driving continuous improvement and Agile maturity Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and servant leadership Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a related field 7+ years in Scrum Master, Program Management, or PMO roles Experience with SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, or similar frameworks Proven Agile transformation and program delivery experience Strong background in metrics, reporting, and executive communication Experience with Agile/PM tools (Jira Align, Azure DevOps, etc.) Familiarity with federal compliance and governance environments Preferred Qualifications Advanced Agile/PM certifications (CSP-SM, SPC, PMP, DASSM, ICE-AC) Experience integrating Agile within PMO/portfolio frameworks Background in federal acquisition and governance standards Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, ServiceNow) Expertise with enterprise Agile tooling (Jira Align, Rally, ADO) Experience leading large-scale, multi-team programs Strong stakeholder and executive engagement experience Clearance Requirement Must have an Active DOD Secret clearance or higher Akumen, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
