Job Description

Description Please note: This role is contingent upon a contract award. While it is not an immediate opening, we are actively conducting interviews and extending offers in anticipation of the award.
  • The Work
  • Our Digital Modernization Division is an information technology and management consulting department that offers integrated, strategic solutions to its public and private-sector clients.
ICF has the expertise, agility, and commitment to design, build, and operate high-performance IT engines to support all aspects of our client's business. The Release Train Engineer (RTE) serves as the chief facilitator and coach for a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Agile Release Train (ART). The RTE drives program execution, risk management, and continuous improvement while ensuring Agile practices align with federal governance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Job Location
  • : Remote, however, strong preference for candidates who live in the Washington DC Metro Area. There will be occasional onsite meetings on the client site in Washington, DC.

  • What You Will Do:
  • + Serve as the Agile leader and coach for a SAFe Agile Release Train supporting federal programs.
+ Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt (I&A) events. + Serve as a Release Manager, orchestrating after hours production deployments with technical team members. + Partner with Product Management, System Architects, and government stakeholders to align delivery with mission objectives and contractual requirements. + Track and manage program-level dependencies, risks, impediments, and milestones. + Ensure transparency and visibility into program execution using Agile metrics and reporting. + Coach teams on SAFe, Agile, and Lean principles while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. + Support compliance with federal standards, including security, reporting, and documentation requirements. + Coordinate cross-team delivery, release planning, and integration activities. + Facilitate communication between technical teams, business owners, and government leadership. + Support tool configuration and best practices for Agile lifecycle management platforms.
  • What You Must Bring:

S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements + Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. + 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery, program management, or technical leadership. + 2+ years of experience as a Release Train Engineer, Agile Coach, or senior Scrum Master. + MUST

Have:
  • + Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
+ SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification. + Strong experience implementing SAFe in large, complex environments. + Experience supporting federal government programs or regulated environments. + Familiarity with federal SDLC, governance, and compliance frameworks. + Experience supporting DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines in regulated environments.

  • Pay Range
  • - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $119,323.00 - $202,850.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
