US Citizen, GC We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Scrum Master to join our team and lead agile delivery for up to four cross-functional teams. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing blockers, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and transparency. You'll work closely with program management, product owners, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of a large impact and high visibility program for one of our largest customers. Our ideal candidate is someone who exhibits a high degree of ownership and results orientation, an aptitude for driving change, and enjoys working in a highly collaborative geographically diverse agile environment. You will use your servant leadership capabilities and mindset to help empower, energize, and motivate the teams in our organization. This role is situated in a center of excellence structure within the company and will partner closely with another Scrum Masters and Sr. Program Managers to deliver results. Behaviorally, need someone who is bold and not afraid to challenge, a strong personality that is confident in their skills and can push back as needed. Technical understanding (former engineering, tech experience in cloud, dev ops, etc.) is a major plus.Essential Responsibilities:
Schedule and facilitate Scrum Agile ceremonies on a day to day and Sprint by Sprint basis. Foster and motivate a culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Work with Product Owners and Business Systems Analysts to prioritize and groom Product backlogs. Work with Business System Analysts to gather prioritized User Stories in a timely manner for Sprint Planning. Work with cross functional team of Program management, Product Owner, Security Engineers, Database Administrators, Infrastructure, and Development to ensure quality delivery of product. Escalate and manage Impediments (roadblocks) to ensure successful Sprint completions. Coach Teams on the basics of Scrum or Kanban (as needed) in simple terms. Uphold the Agile methodology values and principles; facilitate Scrum Agile ceremonies, focusing teams to deliver value quickly. Continuously monitor Teams to ensure Sprint completion by scheduled Sprint end to coordinate with committed Release dates. Gather, document and provide/present Sprint metrics on a regular cadence. Set a professional example for the team through model behavior, superior performance, and proper attendance. Drive the team to meet deadlines & facilitate teamwork to meet goals. Identify and encourage areas for professional growth and improvement within the team. Assess and suggest opportunities for process improvement. Assure timely (team) entry of time into Azure DevOps. Promote adherence to departmental/software development process standards. Ensure all stories are estimated and 'tasked' (with high level details of the task) in advance of the Sprint Planning session. Develop project plans and manage projects as required.Qualifications:
Scrum Master Certification required 5+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organization skills and attention to detail Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively problem-solve, analyze, and react effectively to change Understand implementation details of Scrum Understand Agile Software development process & SDLC Experience working multiple workstreams of engineers focusing on infrastructure, database and development ( Highly preferred ) Experience running distributed Agile teams in a scaled environment. Ability to work in a rapidly growing fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities within deadlines. Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage backlogs, plan and track sprints, configure workflows, and provide data driven insights through dashboards, queries, and Agile reporting tools to support team delivery and continuous improvement. Outstanding computer and business systems reporting skills including high proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) #KSSJSimilar remote jobs
