UST is searching for an experienced Technical Scrum Master with strong US healthcare domain experience and solid technical knowledge of AWS, data engineering, Databricks, and machine learning data pipelines.The opportunity:
- Serve as the Scrum Master and Agile delivery leader for one or more technical data/AI teams
- Facilitate effective Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Agile ceremonies
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, prioritized, and technically actionable backlog
- Ensure stories have clear acceptance criteria, dependencies, estimates, and appropriate technical detail before sprints
- Drive predictable sprint execution and continuously improve team velocity, quality, and delivery predictability
- Identify and proactively resolve impediments affecting team productivity and delivery
- Track and communicate sprint, release, milestone, dependency, and delivery risks
- Facilitate cross-team coordination where multiple data, application, infrastructure, or ML teams have dependencies This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position.
What you need:
- 6+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum delivery with significant support for technical engineering teams
- 4+ years of experience working in the US healthcare industry (preferred/required)
- Proven experience working with data engineering, cloud, analytics, or AI/ML teams
- Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies
- Experience managing complex technical dependencies across multiple teams
- Strong understanding of AWS and cloud-based technology environments
- Working knowledge of data engineering and data pipeline architectures
- Working knowledge of Databricks, Spark/PySpark, SQL, or equivalent modern data engineering technologies
- Understanding of machine learning data pipelines and ML engineering workflows
- Experience working with technical teams consisting of Data Engineers, ML Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Architects, and technical SMEs
- Strong experience with Jira or equivalent Agile delivery platforms
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify, escalate, and drive resolution of technical and organizational impediments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills
- Technical Knowledge & Skills Required
- AWS cloud fundamentals and enterprise architecture concepts (S3, IAM, compute, networking, monitoring, security services)
- Understanding of AWS-based application and data-platform dependencies
- Familiarity with cloud environments, deployment processes, and CI/CD
- Modern data engineering architectures and data pipelines
- Batch and streaming data-processing concepts
- Data ingestion, transformation, validation, data quality, orchestration, and downstream consumption
- Data lake/lakehouse architecture
- CI/CD, Git, automated testing, deployment pipelines, environment management, and release processes
- Production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and operational readiness
- Healthcare fundamentals: clinical data, healthcare claims data, and business processes
- Healthcare-specific data quality, privacy, security, and regulatory considerations (PHI/PII, HIPAA)
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise healthcare data platforms
- Familiarity with Databricks and modern lakehouse architectures
- Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and Apache Iceberg
- Familiarity with AWS data services and cloud security
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, X12/EDI, 835, 837, 834)
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar enterprise tools
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or SAFe) Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience.

$80,000- 120,000 Benefits Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
