Job Description

CSI - a custom hardware/software engineering company headquartered in Richardson, TX, is seeking a talented Software Project Lead. The Software Project Lead is responsible for leading the development team across platforms, processes, and technologies, while overseeing all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC) to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions that align with the evolving needs of projects. This Software Project Lead is also responsible for managing software projects throughout the SDLC in accordance with internal processes and external standards. The selected candidate will be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be a U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of SW products to ensure they meet contractual cost, schedule, and technical requirements. This will entail use of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) as a Control Account Manager (CAM) where applicable. Accountable for comprehensive budget management and resource deployment to facilitate the timely completion of all project phases. Report budget, scope and schedule progress using Agile Metrics and EVMS methodologies. Participate in the full SDLC including design, implementation, test, and delivery of software products to our customers. Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, engaging stakeholders at all levels to ensure clear alignment. Collaborate with Software Development, Systems, Software Test, Program Management, and Integration Engineering teams to align workstreams and ensure milestones are met. Work in Agile Scrum teams to develop software products for multiple software baselines. Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and ticket progress to meet deadlines, maintain development standards, and deliver high-quality releases. Collaborate with Program Management to support risk and opportunity management and integrated master schedule (IMS) task planning.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5-10 years of related engineering experience 2+ years of relevant experience in software project management, project management, or program management of one or more complex projects with multiple stakeholders 2+ years of project budget experience to include EVMS and CAP. Prior experience using agile development, including participating as Product Owner, SCRUM Master, and/or team member in an Agile development environment Strong critical thinking skills with a curious, solution-oriented mindset and ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to lead complex, on-premise infrastructure projects through the full SDLC Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with individuals from all corporate positions. Active or willing to acquire a TS clearance. 3+ years in project management or team leadership role. 4+ years of relevant experience in software development. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience working with hybrid methodologies (Waterfall + Agile elements)
