Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm Job Descrptions The PI Vision Migration Engineer will lead the conversion of legacy PI ProcessBook displays to PI Vision across multiple manufacturing sites. The contractor will work with operations, process engineering, and site leadership teams to migrate, validate, standardize, and optimize process visualization dashboards while ensuring continuity of business-critical monitoring and reporting capabilities. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of industrial process data, OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System applications, and manufacturing operations. This role requires both technical implementation skills and the ability to collaborate with site personnel to ensure migrated displays accurately represent process conditions and operational KPIs. Key Responsibilities- Inventory and assess existing PI ProcessBook displays across manufacturing sites.
- Convert PI ProcessBook displays to PI Vision while maintaining functionality and usability.
- Validate migrated displays against existing ProcessBook pages to ensure accuracy of process data, calculations, trends, and visualizations.
- Collaborate with site process engineers, operations personnel, and subject matter experts to understand display requirements and business needs.
- Standardize display formats, navigation, naming conventions, and visualization practices across sites.
- Identify opportunities to improve dashboard design, usability, and performance during migration activities.
- Support development and enhancement of PI Vision dashboards for operations management, performance monitoring, and KPI tracking.
- Document migration activities, standards, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot issues related to PI Vision displays, data references, and user access.
- Support user acceptance testing and provide guidance to site personnel during deployment.
- Track migration progress and communicate status to project stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System technologies.
- Experience developing or supporting PI ProcessBook and/or PI Vision displays.
- Understanding of process data historians, trends, KPIs, and industrial data visualization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision across multiple stakeholders and sites.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with PI Asset Framework (AF).
- Experience developing advanced PI Vision dashboards.
- Knowledge of manufacturing performance systems such as OEE, downtime tracking, SPC, batch monitoring, or Tier management processes. Deliverables
- Complete migration of existing PI ProcessBook displays to PI Vision for 3 sites.
- Verification and validation of migrated displays.
- Documentation of migration standards and conversion decisions.
- Final migration status report identifying completed, pending, and future enhancement opportunities.
USOPS Pay:
$37.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
