This critical role will involve working in a distributed Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environment, contributing to Continuous Developmental Integration (CDI) activities, MDS Ground Test (GT) events, and MDS Flight Test support. The focus will be on hands-on support for MDA's distributed software threat simulation, integrating current and future software capabilities into the OSF Framework.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and execute Python scripts to support modeling and simulation activities within the HWIL environment. Integrate current and future software capabilities into the OSF Framework. Contribute to CDI activities, GT events, and Flight Test support. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to simulation performance and accuracy. Collaborate with a team of engineers and analysts to ensure the successful execution of simulation campaigns. Develop and implement data management plans for simulation data, including data storage, backup, and recovery procedures. Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes. Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata to document simulation data. Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data access and analysis. Assist in the development of data visualization tools and reports to communicate simulation results effectively. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support their data analysis needs.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with MDA Ground Test CONOPS. Familiarity with Cloud computing concepts. Proficiency in Python scripting language. Must possess the ability to clearly express ideas/concepts, perform as part of a team, and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment. Displays excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills and takes a proactive role to ensure that responsibilities are completed on or ahead of schedule. Displays the ability to work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, Prime Contractor, and Supporting Contractor personnel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with government, prime contractor, and supporting contractor personnel. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Proactive and self-motivated. Experience with data management principles and practices. Familiarity with data storage and retrieval technologies (e.g., databases, data lakes).
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with Objective Simulation Framework (OSF). Knowledge of the HWIL architecture infrastructure truth presentation to the element models (SMHR, signatures, environment). Knowledge of the HWIL architecture infrastructure, including truth presentation utilizing Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) adapter, and/or Ground Test Integrated System Simulation (GTISS) adapter. Familiarity with Linux. Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with data analysis libraries in Python (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
