Hours:
Monday•Friday 6am•3pm (With alternative hours when needed)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Onsite Chief Engineer oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of both long and short term facility maintenance projects within a multi-story +•50,000 sq ft building . They ensure safety outcomes and project goals are met throughout the development, execution, and closing of each project. Projects are primarily facility maintenance and repairs, including retrofits requiring a thorough understanding of plans, specifications, and regulations, along with the coordination of multiple vendors, building tenants, subcontractors, contracting personnel and government officials. They maintain worker safety by integrating safety and health into all aspects of facility operations and maintenance processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
employee accomplishes the following essential functions: 1. Collaborates with US&S partner firms and contracting officials to ensure the scope of the contact is being followed. 2. Directs the set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured. 3. Monitors cash flow projections per project: report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/ bimonthly). 4. Ensures that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality. 5. Develops inspections checklist for project(s), prepares audit protocol, and serves as an internal auditor/ inspector, taking corrective action as needed. 6. Performing basic plumbing fixes (faucets, drains), electrical repairs (outlets, switches), and minor carpentry.
COMPETENCIES

Deductive Reasoning:
Maintenance Workers need to be able to look for problems in complicated electrical grids, isolate the issue and solve it. 2.
Logic:
Maintenance Workers need to be able to look at electrical blueprints and scan them for issues, making sure that they work before installed 3.
Manual Dexterity:
Working with wires, using hand tools and handling small components requires manual dexterity. 4.
Math:
Math is needed to analyze and create schematics 5.
Observation:
Maintenance technicians need to be able to look at electrical grids and evaluate them for any problems, to make sure they are being installed correctly. 6.
Problem Solving:
Maintenance techs need to be able to identify issues and make corrective measures to fix problems with electrical components.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in related subject or equivalent technical training and work experience. Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol screening tests Ability to pass requirements to obtain a security badge, as needed by the client Authorization to work in the US as per the E-Verify database At a minimum, the resume shall address and contain ALL of the following: The full name of the candidate A detailed description of the candidate's employment history for the previous five years The names and addresses of the companies for whom the candidate worked for the past five years, along with the names and telephone numbers of the immediate supervisors This position shall possess at least 2 years of recent (within the past five years) experience in directing operation and maintenance of equipment in a supervisory capacity, knowledge of the operation of site specific major pieces of equipment and system operation Also must possess verifiable understanding and experience in operating, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of building specific eqiupment A minimum of 2 years of recent (within the past 5 years) Siemens BAS systems, NCMMS ( or similar type maintenance tracking software), boilers, and chillers over 300 tons and other characteristics of the equipment to be operated and maintained under this contract EPA 608 Certification, A/C refrigeration operator certification, and one or more of the following certifications or equivalent experience: N.A.P.E Certification Air Conditioning III•Operations and Management (National Association of Power Engineers) Advanced Boiler Operator Certification International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) (Class 2•minimum 1 preferred) stationary engineer
