Under routine supervision, the Software Engineer I is responsible for development tasks designated in coordination with their assigned team. The Software Engineer I creates technical documentation, completes assigned work items, and supports end users as assigned. Engineers in this role are expected to learn about and demonstrate understanding of J.B. Hunt's technology and business processes as they navigate the topography of the technical implementation.Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of processes associated with the organizational software development lifecycle through participation and specialized training
- Execute designs to produce software aligning with the department strategy for performance, user experience, and quality; may assist senior team members in the design process
- Troubleshoot and address bugs and user-submitted problems with assistance from senior team members
- Leverage continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes to effectively release product changes; test and validate changes according to team and organizational policy
- Participate in analysis and design tasks with guidance from senior team members
