This role will focus on designing, deploying, and integrating payload emulation capabilities while working across DevOps, Special Test Equipment, FPGA, and other engineering disciplines. DoD TS/SCI preferred at time of hire; must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire Position Overview As the Systems Test Integration - HDE/Hardware DevOps Environment Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting spacecraft integration and test activities, including designing, deploying, and integrating payload emulation capabilities in coordination with DevOps and Special Test Equipment teams. You will collaborate across engineering disciplines to define unit functionality, document interface requirements, verify behavior on hardware, and support integration and testing of space flight hardware. The role also includes leading FPGA implementation and troubleshooting activities, working with electronic test equipment, coordinating technical priorities and schedules, and supporting program milestones. What You Bring to theTable:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics field, plus 5+ years of job-related experience; OR a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines to define unit functionality, document interface requirements, and verify behavior on hardware Ability to independently lead FPGA implementation and troubleshooting efforts to meet program milestones Experience working with test equipment including power supplies, multimeters, signal generators, signal/logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes Ability to manage task priorities, coordinate schedules, and clearly communicate technical status Ability to work in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Windows 11 operating environments Ability to use the Microsoft tools suite Ability to support the integration and testing of space flight hardware Ability to evaluate new technologies and work with vendors U.S. citizenship is required DoD TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire and meet U.S. Government eligibility requirements for access to classified informationWhat Sets You Apart:
Direct Integration & Test experience with high-reliability space payloads and/or vehicles Experience with Automated Testing Environments or Special Test Equipment Experience with Failure Review Board processes and Failure Reporting and Corrective Action systems for space electronic systems Experience with SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and PSA evolution 5+ years of FPGA development experience using Xilinx UltraScale/UltraScale+ devices Proficiency with VHDL and/or SystemVerilog for RTL design, from microarchitecture definition through hardware integration Experience designing FPGA firmware for high-speed serial interfaces, includingJESD204B
(6+ Gbps), 10GbE, and SerDes Proficiency with the Xilinx Vivado toolchain, including synthesis, implementation, timing closure, and ILA debugging Experience with SPI command/control interfaces, JTAG, and general-purpose digital I/O Familiarity with FMC mezzanine card interfaces (VITA 57) Demonstrated success leading the integration and test life cycle Ability to provide technical leadership and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and influence-management skills Demonstrated ability to interface with program management and customers Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement Ability to identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovationAbout Our Client:
