Recognized in the 2025 Gartner® Market Guide for Global Trade Management, KYG Trade™ delivers expert-trained AI across import and export compliance, tariff optimization, forced labor/UFLPA, FTA qualification, restricted party screening, and supply chain traceability, all on a single platform. KYG Trade™ integrates with enterprise ecosystems including SAP ERP, ECC, S/4HANA, GTS, E4H, Oracle

ERP, PTC

Windchill, Siemen's Team Center, Bamboo Rose, and other leading ERP, PLM, TMS, data, and risk systems, enabling customers to deploy trade controls and workflow automation in complex global environments. The Role The Customer Data Solutions Engineer is a customer-facing, hands-on technical delivery role responsible for transforming complex enterprise data into trusted, production-ready data structures within the KYG Trade™ platform. This person represents KYG directly with enterprise customers and works alongside Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Forward Deployed Trade Engineers, import/export subject matter experts, and customer technology teams to move data from discovery through mapping, transformation, validation, loading, testing, and go-live. The role is centered on customer data, not general project management. You will analyze federated structured and unstructured data sources, define source-to-target mappings, build repeatable data pipelines and automations, and map customer fields, relationships, and lists of values (LOVs) into KYG Trade™ data tables and APIs. The ideal candidate combines strong customer presence with an engineer's bias for execution. You can lead a technical data mapping workshop with senior customer stakeholders, translate ambiguous requirements into precise mapping and transformation rules, and then roll up your sleeves to build, test, troubleshoot, document, and improve the customer onboarding experience. What You'll Do

  • Own the customer data onboarding workstream from source discovery and profiling through mapping, transformation, validation, migration, reconciliation, and production readiness.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured customer data from federated sources, including ERP, PLM, TMS, broker, supplier, spreadsheet, document, database, API, and other enterprise systems.
  • Help customers understand data dependencies and downstream operational impacts by explaining how data quality affects classification, FTA/origin analysis, screening, supplier engagement, audit records, and reporting outcomes.
  • Design and implement bidirectional data mappings for batch, file-based, and API integrations, including transformation logic, validation rules, error handling, and traceable data lineage.
  • Model complex enterprise structures, including legal entities, geographic regions, business units, divisions, domains, products, suppliers, facilities, users, roles, permissions, and internal versus external access.
  • Prepare, cleanse, standardize, deduplicate, and validate product, material, BOM (both hierarchy and flattened), supplier, classification, origin, FTA, import, export, screening, licensing, transaction, and workflow data.
  • Configure and validate customer-specific LOVs, reference data, attributes, hierarchies, trade objects, relationships, workflows, roles, and permissions in partnership with internal platform teams.
  • Execute test loads, migration rehearsals, cutover activities, row-level and relationship-level reconciliation, defect resolution, and post-load verification.
  • Support user acceptance testing by preparing test data, tracking defects or configuration gaps, validating expected outcomes, documenting findings, and coordinating follow-up with internal teams.
  • Track data-related risks and blockers across implementations, escalate issues early, and help maintain RAID logs, action trackers, and implementation status materials. What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in Fortune 1000 customer-facing data engineering, data migration, enterprise SaaS onboarding, systems integration, implementation engineering, solutions engineering, or a closely related role.
  • Ability to profile messy customer data, identify semantic and quality gaps, define transformation logic, and produce precise, testable mapping specifications.
  • Experience with enterprise master data, Bills Of Material (BOM) data, reference data, lists of values, organizational hierarchies, user models, RBAC, permissions, and data governance concepts.
  • Strong documentation and delivery discipline, including mapping workbooks, data dictionaries, validation evidence, issue logs, technical decisions, runbooks, and cutover materials.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Project Management, Product, Engineering, AI, Managed Services, Sales, Forward Deployed Trade Engineers, Security, and trade subject matter experts in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer data workstreams, prioritize risks, and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines. Preferred Experience
  • Experience in global trade management technology, customs brokerage, global trade consulting, import/export compliance, or supply chain technology (SAP
GTS, SAP

E4H, Oracle GTM, Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, E2Open/WiseTech, Descartes, MIC, Altana, Sayari, Kharon, S&P).

  • Familiarity with product classification, country of origin, FTA qualification, BOMs, supplier data, forced labor/UFLPA, restricted party screening, export controls, licensing, tariff management, or supply chain ESG traceability.
  • Experience with Azure data services, integration platforms, orchestration tools, data quality frameworks, CI/CD, version control, automated testing, monitoring, and observability.
  • Experience handling data residency, data sovereignty, cross-border data movement, security, privacy, or access-control requirements in multinational enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted data enrichment, human-in-the-loop review, or automation of data onboarding workflows. Why KYG Trade™
  • Category-defining platform: Help deliver a modern, AI-native GTM solution in a market shaped by tariff complexity, customs scrutiny, forced labor enforcement, supply chain disruption, and increasing demand for automation.
  • High-impact customer work: You will be working across industries for a well-funded, revenue-generating, fast-based start-up environment at the apex of AI and Tariffs for worlds' largest and well-known brands!

  • Cross-functional influence: Work closely with customers and leaders across Customer Success, Product, Engineering, AI, Managed Services, and trade subject matter experts to improve delivery quality and compliance.
  • Growth opportunity: Develop toward senior and principal-level customer data engineering or customer data architecture leadership as the organization scales. Compensation
  • Competitive base salary, bonus eligibility, and equity participation aligned to experience, technical depth, customer-facing capability, and impact. Hiring Process
  • Intro call: Conversation focused on background, role fit, and interest in KYG Trade™.
  • Cross-functional interviews: Discussions with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, trade SMEs, or Leadership focused on collaboration, problem solving, and customer credibility.
  • Practical working session: A realistic enterprise data onboarding scenario covering source analysis, mapping, transformation, validation, risk identification, and communication of the proposed approach.
  • References + offer: We aim to move efficiently once there is mutual alignment and provide clear communication throughout the process.

If you combine customer credibility, data engineering depth, and a builder's mindset for solving complex enterprise onboarding challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
