Working closely with Product partners and Engineering management, you will build technical solutions enhancing, optimizing and iterating the RealReal's Sales & Retail platform to support TRR's sales and retail associates with tooling, and enable seamless customer experiences in sales and retail channels. You will work closely with Product and business stakeholders to help build robust scalable back-ends to empower seamless and engaging customer journeys that optimize our Sales & Retail platform platform effectiveness.
What You Get To Do Every Day Design and Develop :
Lead the architecture and development of software solutions, making strategic decisions that influence our technical direction.
Collaborate and Communicate:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to align technology development with business objectives, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Code Review and Quality Assurance:
Perform rigorous code reviews and advocate for best coding practices to ensure our products are efficient and maintainable.
Mentorship:
Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and contributing to a culture of excellence. Stay Ahead of the

Research emerging technologies and trends in software engineering, identifying opportunities to enhance our projects and processes.
Problem-Solving:
Address complex technical challenges with innovative solutions, anticipating potential issues to ensure smooth project execution.
What You Bring To The Role Minimum Requirements:
At least 8 years of software development experience Required experience with Java and Ruby Proven experience with the development, scaling, and maintenance of distributed systems Solid understanding of software engineering principles, architectural design, and agile development methodologies Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to work independently on complex issues Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly and concisely
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of software development experience with a track record of successfully shipping consumer or business facing products Experience with Elixir is a plus Familiarity with Front-end JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.) Familiarity with Gradle and Spring Boot Familiarity with Python Familiarity with AWS Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio. The expected salary range for this role is $172,460.00-$215,575.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR's total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
