Responsibilities:
Keysight is seeking a customer-facing Solution Architect to support hyperscalers, NEMs, manufacturers of optical transceivers and copper cables, and silicon vendors in validating next-generation, 1.6 Terabit and higher speed AI and network data center interconnects. This role combines knowledge of network equipment expertise with strong customer engagement and close collaboration with Product Management and Engineering to influence next-generation hardware and software test and measurement solutions for high-speed interconnects Responsibilities Act as a trusted technical advisor to Hyperscalers, NEMs, manufacturers of optical transceivers and copper cables, and silicon vendors on high-speed interconnect validation strategies and error performance measurement. Architect and deliver functional, performance, and interoperability interconnect error performance validation solutions using advanced traffic generation software and network test hardware platforms, including proof-of-concepts and interconnect error performance benchmarking. Design, develop and conduct use cases to measure interconnects for technical customer product demonstrations, industry interoperability events, and hot stages for tradeshow and industry / MSA plugfests. Actively participate in industry organization meetings and Keysight internal meetings where Keysight plans to attend hot stages, tradeshows, and industry plugfests. Actively participate in industry organizations such as the Ethernet Alliance, OIF, and industry MSAs as assigned. Build end execute automated interconnect test suites using Keysight software and hardware platforms. Develop and deliver product and technical training to Keysight pre-sales engineers in the form of audio and video presentations and written documents such as application notes. Partner closely with Product Management and R D to translate customer interconnect test requirements into roadmap priorities.
Qualifications:
Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Communications, Computer Data Sciences, or a related field. Experience in working with the product development and test of network equipment (i.e. working with NEMs), AI data center operators, hyperscale networking environments, and pre-deployment testing of interconnects and networking equipment used in in high-speed Ethernet (800GE and higher speeds). Familiar with
IEEE 802.3, OIF
electrical specifications, and critical interconnect MSA specifications as they relate to high-speed interconnects. Deep knowledge of the actual qualification of optical transceivers, and active and passive copper cables. Direct working knowledge of CMIS (Common Management Interface Specification) Experience with network equipment interoperability testing, and equipment benchmarking. 5+ years of experience in network test/validation roles. Hands-on experience with network traffic generators and validation/test tools. Experience in network automation (SCPI, Python, REST API, Tcl). Develop automated test cases, execute test cases, and analyze test results. Excellent customer-facing oral and written communication and presentation skills. Must be able to conduct hands-on demonstrations of hardware and software products for interconnect and network equipment tests. Self-driven, curious, and motivated to continuously learn emerging high-speed Ethernet (i.e., 800GE and higher), and new transceiver and cable technologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Keysight physical layer test (Layer 0 and 1) instruments such as BERTs, DCAs, real-time Oscilloscopes and related instruments in the field.
