Data Collector - No Prior Experience Needed Job Description The Helix Creator role involves wearing specialized sensor equipment and performing controlled, human‑like motions that help train a next‑generation humanoid robot. Your movements generate the high‑quality motion data used to develop advanced AI systems. This position blends physical activity, focus, and basic computer work in a clean, structured production and lab environment. You don't need previous experience — just strong focus, good coordination, and the ability to follow instructions. Responsibilities Wear motion‑capture sensor equipment and perform precise, repeatable human‑like movements. Generate accurate, high‑quality motion data used to train AI robotics models. Use computer systems to log, organize, and submit collected data. Identify and report issues, bugs, or irregularities during data‑collection sessions. Provide clear daily feedback to engineers and team members. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times. Follow established procedures to ensure consistent, reliable data collection. Stay focused during repetitive tasks and complete assigned motion sequences without distraction. Collaborate with engineers and technical staff during testing and production activities. Adhere to all safety guidelines when working with electronics, sensors, and computer equipment. Essential Skills Basic computer proficiency and comfort navigating software applications. Ability to perform data entry and maintain accurate digital records. Strong physical coordination and spatial awareness. Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform repetitive tasks with consistency. Familiarity with electronics or computer systems (helpful but not required). Ability to stay focused in a structured production or lab environment. Comfort using Microsoft Office or similar tools. Openness to constructive feedback and willingness to improve. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while meeting quality and productivity expectations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production, testing, or lab environments is a plus. Interest in AI, robotics, or technology‑driven products. Demonstrated ability to stay on task without distraction. Strong communication skills for reporting issues and observations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
