Job Description
Job Summary The Senior / Lead Software Engineer (Next.js) is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of high-performance, customer-facing web applications. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can independently execute complex initiatives while driving engineering excellence across teams. The position focuses on building scalable full-stack solutions using Next.js, TypeScript, and modern cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end development of complex frontend and full-stack applications using Next.js and TypeScript Architect and build scalable, high-performance web applications with a focus on user experience and reliability Collaborate with backend, platform, and DevOps teams to design robust and maintainable systems Optimize frontend performance, including SSR/SSG, SEO, and application scalability Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices Identify technical gaps and proactively propose and implement improvements Support multiple workstreams by providing guidance, reusable patterns, and execution support Contribute to backend development using Node.js or Python as needed Ensure applications are production-ready, secure, and aligned with cloud-native architectures Drive continuous improvement in engineering standards and development processes Required Qualifications 8-12+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong hands-on experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript Experience building and delivering complex, large-scale systems independently Strong backend experience with Node.js and/or Python Experience with frontend performance optimization, SSR/SSG, and SEO best practices Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP Strong understanding of full-stack architecture and system design Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Experience building retail, e-commerce, or large-scale customer-facing platforms Strong understanding of scalable UI architecture and design patterns Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring team members Passion for clean code, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement
