Role Description We're looking for a Backend Software Engineer to help build and ship the core systems that power Jamie AI as we scale quickly. In this role, you'll focus on designing reliable backend architecture, writing clear and maintainable code, and turning product requirements into practical, production-ready features. You'll work closely with the team to improve performance, strengthen our infrastructure, and ensure the platform can support more creators, shows, and enterprise clients over time. Compensation $100k-$130k salary per year Equity Opportunity Qualifications Requirements 1-3 years of real software engineering experience (not just prompting AI tools, although this is useful too) Startup mindset: scrappy, fast, resourceful, and eager to learn Interest in AI/ML and LLMs-you'll work with them daily Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python Hands-on experience with back-end development, modern frameworks, and software design best practices Comfortable architecting systems from scratch and writing maintainable, well-tested code Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform Ability to set up production-grade logging, monitoring, and alerting Familiarity with AI or data-driven platforms is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail Strong foundation in Computer Science and solid Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals Team player with experience using modern remote collaboration tools Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Nice-to-Haves Startup or early-stage company experience Experience with AI/ML pipelines or LLM APIs Dev-ops/automation experience Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, or queue-based architectures Los Angeles, CA Based Why Jamie AI Real ownership: You'll help shape the product, team, and tech stack from the ground up Build the tools powering top creators and media brands.
