Simulink Sensors Python Full Job Description Debelak Consulting Group is partnering with a Southern California space technology company building maneuverable spacecraft for on-orbit security and national defense missions. We're looking for a GN&C Engineer to join their growing engineering team. About the Opportunity This is a hands-on role for an engineer who wants to own GN&C algorithm development from concept through flight. You'll work across the full lifecycle — from simulation to deployed flight software — on autonomous spacecraft operating in some of the most demanding mission environments. What You'll Do Design, implement, and tune GN&C algorithms for relative motion, formation flying, and autonomous rendezvous and proximity operations Develop attitude determination and control systems and orbit determination filters Apply Kalman filtering, nonlinear control, and state estimation techniques Work with sensor fusion across IMUs, GPS, star trackers, LiDAR, and optical navigation sensors Transition algorithms from simulation environments into flight-ready, operational software What We're Looking For 5+ years of GN&C experience in spacecraft, launch vehicle, or autonomous systems environments Strong command of MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and C/C++ Hands-on experience with sensor fusion and state estimation Track record of taking algorithms from simulation to flight U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain or currently hold an active TS/SCI clearance Why This Role Join a small, mission-driven team building cutting-edge autonomous spacecraft technology at a pivotal stage of company growth — high ownership, high visibility, and direct impact on national security missions.
