Our flagship system, the Da Vinci 2.0 , delivers purified, sparkling, chilled, and near-boiling water on demand — replacing the filter, kettle, sparkling-water maker, and pitcher with one integrated appliance. Our Model-J pushes the platform further into multi-beverage dispensing and flavored water , serving a range of customizable beverages on demand from a single connected machine. Founded in Los Angeles in 2014 on more than two decades of water-dispensing R D, we now operate across three countries: our U.S. headquarters in Torrance, CA , our engineering and manufacturing facility in Shenzhen, China , and our R D and patent center in Pisa, Italy . With 80+ team members, 100+ patents , decades of combined experience, and an ambitious product roadmap, we're scaling fast — and we need an operator who can keep the whole machine running as we grow. The Role We're looking for a Software Engineer to help accelerate development across our connected products and internal tools. You'll write real code that ships — powering the apps, interfaces, and systems behind our beverage machines, and building the tools that keep our global operation running. This is a great fit for a sharp, hungry engineer early in their career — including recent grads — who wants to move fast, own meaningful work from day one, and grow quickly in a startup where your impact is visible. You'll work closely with our engineering and product teams across the U.S., China, and Italy. What You'll Do Build and ship features across our software stack — device interfaces, mobile/web apps, and the back-end systems that connect our machines Collaborate with hardware, operations, and R D teams to bring new product capabilities to life (including our multi-beverage Juli 5.0 platform) Debug, test, and improve existing systems for reliability and performance Use AI tools heavily to accelerate your own development and ship more, faster Learn the full picture — from firmware and connected devices to customer-facing apps — and grow into greater ownership over time What We're Looking For Required Solid programming fundamentals and a real desire to build — degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience (bootcamp, personal projects, internships) Proficiency in one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C/C++, or similar ) Ability to effectively prompt and use AI coding tools (Codex and similar) to accelerate development — this is core to how we work A fast learner who's resourceful, detail-oriented, and takes ownership of their work Strong communication skills and the drive to thrive in a fast-moving startup Preferred / Welcomed Experience with web or mobile app development , APIs, or databases Exposure to embedded systems, IoT, or connected hardware Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Chinese language proficiency — a plus for collaborating with our Shenzhen engineering team Personal projects, open-source contributions, or a portfolio we can look at Compensation & Growth Starting salary: $60,000-$80,000 , based on experience and skill Real ownership and fast growth — your work ships, and strong performers take on more responsibility quickly The chance to build software for category-defining hardware, working across a global, three-country operation
