Job Description

Job Description Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Technical Application Engineer to support the technical evaluation of conventional nuclear steam turbine controls upgrade opportunities. This role is responsible for the detailed technical review and response to customer specifications and requests for proposals and supporting the definition of standardized offerings for nuclear steam turbine controls upgrades. The ideal candidate has a strong technical knowledge of control system applications for steam turbine and nuclear quality assurance process experience. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Lead the response to customer technical specifications for conventional nuclear, non-safety related steam turbine controls upgrades. Coordinate with Controls Engineering Technical Leaders and Product Design Owners to develop clear, compliant, and competitive technical responses to customer inquiries. Defining engineering effort and material requirements to achieve customer expectations and nuclear industry standards for quality, aligned with our engineering, manufacturing, and product capabilities. Own the Technical Application Guide definition for nuclear steam turbine controls applications; creating and maintaining Technical Application Guides (TAGs) which define standards for engineering design effort, material/hardware definition, technical proposal language for standard products, and overall technical quoting limits. Support the commercialization of new product designs for nuclear steam turbine controls applications, creating or revising TAGs to support the quotation of new products/applications. Support technical discussions with customers for strategic deal development; providing technical insight on GEV products and services for nuclear steam turbine controls, collecting voice of customer, responding to technical inquiries on GEV submitted proposals, and providing feedback to the business's commercial and product management organizations on control solutions that meet the customer needs in the nuclear market. Support continuous improvement of Technical Application Guides by engaging in project reviews with commercial, project management, engineering, and field service teams. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry work experience with steam turbine control system applications or controls project execution. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in the nuclear industry. Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time. Desired Characteristics Knowledge of relevant nuclear quality, safety, and regulatory expectations. GE Vernova Mark VIe Control System knowledge and experience. Experience in technical application/proposal engineering. Strong understanding of control system architecture, instrumentation, HMI systems, cyber security, and integration principles. Ability to interpret technical specifications and develop practical engineering responses, balancing standard solutions with project specific requirements. High attention to detail in technical proposal development Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong collaboration skills with internal technical and commercial teams. Demonstrated ability to meet agreed-upon goals and measurements. Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix management environment. Experience interfacing with all levels of internal and external customers. Strong influence, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Strong process discipline with sound analytical skills. Strong technical judgment and problem-solving ability Comfort working across multiple engineering disciplines and stakeholders This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. November 06, 2026 For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $108,200.00 and $180,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
