Location US-CT-Groton Seat Location EB Groton Shipyard Trade Management Shift 1st Security Clearance Required Secret Number of Openings 2 Overview D454 is responsible for developing software systems that are highly complex, reliable, and must operate without fail in the most demanding environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a Software Engineering group within D454, for up to 25 engineers.

The group is responsible for the planning and coordination of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering and maintenance, SW design / development, integration & test, and delivery for the VIRGINIA and
COLUMBIA
class submarines. The supervisor will work closely with internal customers, external customers, other engineering disciplines, and system / hardware engineers to develop and deliver software products that meet or exceed quality, cost, and schedule requirements. Responsibilities include the development of new work, estimates, budgets, schedules, optimal resource allocation, review and approval of software products, Technical Product Quality (TPQ), technical and administrative direction, personnel training and development, and continuous process improvement activities. The candidate will be expected to balance multiple competing priorities while maintaining focus on personnel development and project quality, cost, and schedule performance requirements.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor of Science degree in a technical related field. Minimum of 4 years' of post-graduate professional experience in
Engineering Preferred:
