What this role is all about Our Thermal & Specialty Solutions business is building the future of low-GWP refrigerants and liquid cooling. As an Immersion Cooling Research Engineer, youll apply fluorochemical know-how and heat transfer fundamentals to design and run experiments across immersion and direct-to-chip platformsboth in our labs and in real-world trials. Youll turn data into direction for our product and application roadmaps. Your core focus Lead and support R&D projects in two-phase cooling for data centers and beyond. Plan, execute, and manage multiple experimental streamsfrom benchtop rigs to field pilots. Crunch experimental outputs into insights and share them clearly with technical leadership. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teammates, customers, and partners. Grow your expertise in fluorochemicals and advanced thermal-management applications. What you bring MS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry with 2+ years of combined academic/industry experience in thermal management, refrigeration, or HVAC; OR BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry with 5+ years of relevant industry experience in thermal management, refrigeration, or HVAC. Strong grounding in refrigeration cycles, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics. Comfort spending >75% of your time in the lab driving multiple experiments against tight timelines. Clear communication skills, initiative, independence, and a strong safety mindset. Bonus points Direct experience with refrigerants or liquid cooling systems, especially two-phase.
