Job Title Software Development Engineering, Advisor About your role: At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As a Software Development Engineering, Advisor, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs. What you'll do: Design, code, maintain and debug COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM and CICS programs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications Ensure optimal performance and reliability Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes. Provide 24x7 production support for up to a week at a time ​ Experience you'll need to have: 4-7 years of experience in software development in an enterprise environment 5+ years of experience in Cobol, JCL DB2, VSAM and CICS programming languages 5+ years of experience working with IBM Mainframe ZOS toolsets 5+ years of experience with Job Scheduling (CA7); IDCAMS, SyncSort; File-Master; File Transmission (FTP/NDM); Endevor 3+ years of experience working in enterprise level financial services 3+ years of experience with DB2, VSAM and MySQL databases Bachelors degree in IT or 6-10 years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience Experience that would be great to have: Experience in the financial services industry. Masters degree in MIS/IT or related field.
Important information about this role:
This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity. How you'll work: This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment. This role requires being on call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis. This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Maine or Washington.
