0% - 10% Purpose and Scope Phiston Technologies Inc. is seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software and firmware solutions for advanced industrial equipment and secure data destruction systems. The successful candidate will work closely with electrical, mechanical, controls, and engineering teams to develop reliable embedded systems that improve product functionality, performance, and customer experience. The goal of this position is to deliver high-quality software solutions that support innovative product development and operational excellence. Responsibilities/Duties - Duties and activities that constitute the performance of the job ? Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software and firmware applications. ? Develop software solutions for microcontrollers and embedded processors. ? Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable code using programming languages such as C and C++. ? Debug software and hardware integration issues. ? Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and controls engineers during product development. ? Perform software testing, validation, and troubleshooting. ? Develop and maintain technical documentation, software specifications, and procedures. ? Support prototype development and product improvements. ? Analyze system requirements and translate them into software solutions. ? Participate in design reviews and recommend technical improvements. ? Troubleshoot embedded systems and resolve technical issues. ? Follow company engineering procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols. ? Communicate project updates, technical challenges, and solutions to management. ? Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.
