DS2 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build secure, mission-critical software supporting Army rapid capability programs. In this role, you will lead architecture and development of modern cloud-based services, modeling and simulation tools, and data-driven mission systems for U.S. defense customers. You will collaborate with engineers, analysts, and military stakeholders, drive technical decisions, and mentor teammates. This position offers a collaborative, defense-focused environment with complex challenges, modern tech stacks, and impactful work directly supporting U.S. military operations. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical software solutions for Army rapid capability programs. Lead technical design reviews, code quality standards, and architecture decisions. Collaborate with defense stakeholders to translate mission needs into software requirements. Implement secure, scalable, and testable services, APIs, and data workflows. Guide and mentor engineers, promoting best practices and modern development tools. Integrate with modeling, simulation, and analytics systems to support mission operations. Contribute to Dev Sec Ops pipelines, automated testing, and continuous delivery. Ensure compliance with Do D cybersecurity, documentation, and configuration standards.
