Senior Application Engineer -
Bulk Material Handling & Process Systems Location:
Odessa, FL On behalf of our client, a well-established provider of bulk material handling and process systems, we are seeking a Senior Application Engineer to lead the development of technical and commercial proposals. In this role, you will work closely with Sales, Process Engineering, CAD, vendors, and customers to develop process concepts, select suitable equipment, prepare accurate quotations, and support the Application Engineering team. Key Responsibilities Review customer requirements and specifications with the responsible Market or Sales Manager Communicate with customers, vendors, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to gather information for quotation development Lead the development of process concepts and selection of suitable equipment Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, scope descriptions, and supporting documentation Support Sales Managers, Process Managers, and CAD Designers in the development of process flow diagrams Participate in the preparation of technical documents and customer presentations Obtain vendor quotations for specialty equipment and incorporate pricing into proposal cost estimates Maintain, update, and expand internal cost-estimating databases Support, guide, and mentor the Application Engineering team Travel as required to support sales activities (up to 10%) Qualifications & Skills Strong technical understanding of bulk material handling and industrial process systems Experience with pneumatic conveying in one or more of the following industries: food, chemicals, plastics, or minerals Ability to independently review technical specifications and translate customer requirements into practical system concepts Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Independent, solution-oriented mindset with strong team collaboration Ability to guide less-experienced team members and coordinate effectively across Sales, Engineering, CAD, vendors, and international teams Education & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering, or a related field preferred Alternatively, 3-5 years of relevant experience in bulk material handling, application engineering, or technical cost estimating Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to obtain a passport Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available) If you have experience in pneumatic conveying or bulk solids handling and enjoy owning the full proposal process, we'd like to hear from you.
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
