9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off We are seeking a TS/SCI-cleared, highly skilled and motivated Lead Software/Integration Engineer with experience in modern backend development, Java, AWS, Docker, Linux, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development experience to support mission modernization, software integration, and mission-system reliability improvements. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across software and infrastructure teams and work onsite at Patrick Space Force Base.

Essential Functions:

• Develop secure and scalable back-end services and application logic to support mission applications and workflows.
• Apply software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including code reviews, automated testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and maintain applications in AWS, ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
• Engage with customers daily to refine requirements and improve application functionality.
• Prepare and brief technical designs, implementation plans, roadmaps, and documentation.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for system design, application architecture, deployment procedures, and sustainment activities.
• Supporting Agile software development teams and participating in Scrum ceremonies.
• Building and deploying mission applications in classified or high-security environments.
• Security+ Certification or any DoD IAT Level II Certification, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of accepting position.
