Work You'll Do As a Lead Software Engineer II on the Engineering as a Service team, you will be responsible for… Break down business and technical requirements into structured tasks, prompts, and validation criteria for AI agent teams. Orchestrate delivery activities across architecture, development, quality assurance, user experience, and technical documentation workflows. Validate AI-generated outputs for code quality, security, compliance, and release readiness before merge or deployment. Coordinate end-to-end software development lifecycle activities, including requirements, build, integration, testing, and release support. Support GPS client engagements by accelerating delivery of technology modernization work in public sector environments. Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree 7+ years of experience in software engineering, software architecture, quality engineering, site reliability engineering, or DevOps 2+ years of experience with generative artificial intelligence tools, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted software delivery workflows Experience using integrated development environments, version control systems, and software delivery tools Experience with software development life cycle activities including requirements, design, development, testing, and release Experience validating technical deliverables against quality, security, or compliance requirements Ability to travel 10-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:
