Workday Full Job Description Job Description:
This is a critical, high-visibility hire supporting a large-scale Workday transformation focused on Benefits, Leave/Absence, and Workday Wellness initiatives. The team is mid-project (multi-phase rollout) and needs a hands-on Workday SME who can step in immediately to stabilize progress, lead configuration efforts, and guide best practices. You'll own Workday configuration and integrations while partnering with internal teams and an external Workday partner. This is a true "come in and make an impact" role with strong visibility and long-term upside.
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on Workday experience, including deep configuration and platform ownership in enterprise environments Workday Certification (REQUIRED) - HCM, Absence, or Integrations Previous experience with Workday Absence/Leave Management, including configuration, business process setup, and troubleshooting Strong Workday integration experience, including designing, building, and supporting integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and APIs Experience working across multiple Workday modules including HCM, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, and Security, with the ability to understand end-to-end HR processes and how data, configurations, and integrations impact the broader system Ability to act as a true SME and mentor, helping guide team members and influence direction.
Nice to have:
• Experience with Workday Wellness implementations in previous roles as an engineer
Responsibilities :
Lead Workday configuration efforts, with a heavy focus on Absence/Leave and Benefits/Wellness modules Act as a Workday SME, guiding internal teams and helping upskill junior resources Gather requirements from stakeholders and directly translate them into Workday configurations and solutions Design, build, and support Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and APIs Partner with external Workday implementation teams to ensure alignment and delivery across project phases Troubleshoot issues, stabilize environments, and help bring a delayed project back on track Support future integration work across additional teams as the project expands Ensure best practices across security, data integrity, and system performance
