Job Description We are looking for a Lead Engineer to set the technical direction for the eRFQ platform and stay hands-on in the code. You will own the end-to-end architecture across a Java/Spring Boot microservices backend and an Angular 22 frontend, guide a small team of engineers, and make sure we ship a secure, scalable product that integrates cleanly with real-time enterprise data sources. This is a builder's role. You will help shape the foundations during MVP, set the standards the rest of the team follows, and keep delivery moving with strong judgment and urgency. Day to day activities include the following:

• Own the technical architecture across microservices, APIs, frontend, data, and integrations
• Stay hands-on: write and review code, design services, and solve the hardest problems yourself
• Lead design for real-time integrations to upstream master data, transactional, and product/engineering systems
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, security, CI/CD, and performance
• Mentor and guide Full Stack Engineers, run code reviews, and unblock the team
• Design authentication and access with Okta SSO and token-based auth for external suppliers
• Partner with product, architects, and business stakeholders to turn requirements into a clear technical plan

• Solid frontend experience with Angular (Angular 2+ / modern Angular; version 22 experience is a plus)
• Proven experience designing and building REST APIs and service-to-service integrations
• Experience leading technical design and mentoring engineers, formally or informally
• Comfort with relational databases and writing performant, well-structured queries
• Understanding of CI/CD, testing strategy, and secure coding practices
