Course Description:
Strategic Leadership & Ethics in Engineering (Engineering Management Program) Wake Forest University School of ProfessionalStudies is seeking highly qualified candidates to develop and teach the Strategic Leadership & Ethics in Engineering course in theonline Master of Engineering Management program. The ideal candidate is a professional who understands the theory and practice ofEngineering Mangement, along with recent trends and innovations in the industry. This course prepares engineering managers to leadhigh-performing technical teams while upholding the public trust. Students examine contemporary leadership models alongside frameworks forethical decision-making, stakeholder analysis, and professional codes of conduct. Through real-world cases, ranging from autonomous-vehiclesafety to cybersecurity breaches, students practice resolving "grey-zone" dilemmas, designing governance policies, and communicatingvalues-based decisions that align technical operations with organizational strategy. Emphasis is placed on cultivating an inclusive,innovation-oriented culture that balances performance, accountability, and societal impact. Students meet face-to-face in a virtualclassroom environment weekly over an academic term, providing them the opportunity to reinforce coursework materials, apply academicconcepts, and participate in focused discussions with faculty and colleagues.
Faculty Qualifications:
Master'sdegree in program field or related degree. Terminal degree preferred 3+ years of experience in university-level teaching. Preferred applicants also will have a demonstrated ability to deliver graduate-level, online course experiences that are valued byindustry. With the targeted audience for this program being adult students pursuing career growth, the University seeks to hire colleagueswho are highly skilled in and/or highly attuned to adult learning best practices. 5+ years industry experience. Preferencewill be given to applicants with a demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence and an ability to integrate ethical concepts andbroad understandings of diversity .
