Job Description An Insight Global fortune 500 retail client is looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer to join the team. In this role this individual will be responsible for hands on development in in the latest version of java. •  10+ years of professional backend development experience
•  Strong hands on experience with Java 17-21 (newer Java versions)
•  Experience working with Kafka for event streaming or messaging
•  Hands on experience in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment
•  Experience working with NoSQL databases, specifically:
•  Elasticsearch
•  Cassandra
•  Strong understanding of distributed systems and backend architecture
•  Quarkus knowledge
