JOB TITLE
Automation Engineer
JOB DUTIES
The Automation Engineer supports industrial automation systems within an injection molding manufacturing environment. The position is responsible for programming, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC-controlled equipment, robotic systems, and vision systems to ensure efficient and reliable production operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program and support 3-axis and 6-axis robotic systems used in injection molding production environments. Program and troubleshoot PLC systems, including Siemens, Omron, and Benchoff platforms. Diagnose and resolve automation issues involving electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Support preventive maintenance activities and complete required documentation in accordance with company procedures. Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and production personnel to support production goals. Fabricate repair parts using shop equipment to support automation systems. Perform startup and commissioning of injection molding machines (IMMs). Install, program, and support industrial vision systems, including Keyence and IFM platforms. Install and program End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) for robotic applications. Configure and troubleshoot Engel injection molding machine interfaces. Configure and troubleshoot Krauss Maffei injection molding machine interfaces. Perform programming and troubleshooting for KUKA robotic systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related field (or foreign equivalent) 2 years of experience in Automation engineering or a related occupation involving PLC programming, robot programming, and injection molding automation systems.

$90,688.00 per year
