The application systems analyst/developer will support EMIS (Enterprise Management Information System), a legacy web-based suite serving approximately 5,000 users. EMIS consolidates data from multiple databases into a single site for reporting, analysis, and updates, and includes eight applications: ROCIT, JST, MWR, FOM, CCM, MPCS, RIPL, and XX-RCC. It extends the reporting and research capabilities of PDMSS, the USAF standard system for depot maintenance planning, scheduling, execution, and performance measurement.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, resolve, and document complex customer issues via customer support to implement sustainable solutions and minimize recurring incidents Application development & modifications to meet the needs of the customer Identify, analyze, and document changes/requirements development to the customer, ensuring transparency, alignment, and continuous improvement Support an iterative development process using Agile methodologies Conduct software vulnerability scans using approved code-validation software Follow configuration control and documentation procedures Application testing, regression testing and integration Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
5+ years related programming and development experience Understand complex programming techniques including but not limited to programming languages, software standards, methods and tools Experience with programming languages such as HTML/CSS, Java, JavaScript, SQL Self-driven with the ability to manage workload without direct supervision Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to anticipate potential problems and act to minimize their impact Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
