Come build your career with BAE Systems BAE Systems is looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for engineering and the desire to be part of an innovative, dedicated team responsible for industry-leading Global Positioning Systems (GPS) products. Our team needs engineers interested in architecting, designing, and developing software for real-time embedded GPS receivers for military ground, airborne, and weapons applications. This position offers abundant opportunities to acquire in-depth knowledge of GPS technology and receiver architecture and apply that knowledge in a team effort to develop our Modernized GPS receiver products. This position specifically focuses on GPS Anti-Jam (AJ) as well as other signal processing techniques to provide GPS availability and integrity to our GPS products. BAE Systems is an industry leader in GPS AJ performance and is looking for motivated individuals to assist in advancing our signal processing technology and techniques. As part of this team, you will have responsibilities spanning all phases of the software engineering life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, code development, integration, verification, and documentation. Assignments may include tasks such as developing software tools, supporting field demonstrations efforts, providing customer support, and mentoring other engineers. The successful applicant should be knowledgeable and skilled in a variety of development and test tools as well as proficient in the development of embedded hardware/software applications.

  • + Applicantmust be pursuing a STEM degree in an applicable engineering or science field + Desire to contribute to a results-oriented product development team + Understanding of software development processes for real-time embedded hardware/software applications + Strong verbal and written technical communication skills + Ability to work with a diverse team + A genuine desire to learn and innovate + Knowledge in C for embedded software applications + Software requirements and architectural skills with functional decomposition, subsystem interface definition, technology application, and analysis + Experience working with systems, firmware, and hardware engineering disciplines + A desire to work or learn Digital Signal Processing concepts to Anti-Jam protection, Jammer Direction Finding & Position, and Identification of Jammer Characteristics + Ability to obtain a Security Clearance •Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills•+ Software requirements and architectural skills with functional decomposition, subsystem interface definition, technology application, and analysis + Experience working with systems, firmware, and hardware engineering disciplines + Experience working with software and systems engineering processes + Experience with real-time embedded hardware systems + Experience with C, C for embedded applications + Experience with ARM processors + Experience with Nucleus RTOS + Experience with Sourcery CodeBench + Experience in Lauterbach TRACE32 debuggers + A working knowledge of Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing, or Radio Frequency Filtering + Experience with MATLAB Simulink models + Experience with MATLAB scripting + Experience with Jira and DOORS + Experience or interest in utilizing AI tool for software development + Experience with Python scripting •Pay Information•
Full-Time Salary Range:
$59023 - $100339 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
